Business knowledge is a useful place to start.

I’m Marco Cerrato, the person behind Not A Programmer. I created this site to help people with a non-programming background use technology to build useful solutions in their work.

The original articles explored Python and low-code tools through financial analysis and reusable calculations. As AI opens up more ways to work with information, I’m expanding that approach to help business professionals develop practical AI skills.

What you will learn here

The site focuses on finance and planning, economics, marketing, business operations, and data analytics. You’ll find explanations, step-by-step workflows, and projects built around recognizable business tasks.

The aim is to help you produce better work, understand how you got there, and develop a method you can use again.

How I approach the examples

Start with a clear business question. Work with understandable inputs. Show the steps and the output. Explain what to check before relying on it.

Your experience matters throughout that process. You know the context, constraints, and decisions that give the work meaning. AI can help you explore and draft; your review connects the output to the actual business situation.

Why the name still fits

Not A Programmer began with the idea that useful technology should be accessible to people whose expertise lies in business. That idea continues here. Begin with approachable AI exercises, then explore low-code or Python when a task calls for them.
